Project Goals: What We Do

The Pittsburgh Village Project is committed to the following outcomes for Pre-K to 12th grade students, their families, communities and all who are invested in education.

  • We strive to eliminate opportunity gaps and increase the effectiveness of student learning through collaboration amongst in-school and out-of-school stakeholders.

  • We commit to providing opportunities for students across racial and economic lines to collaborate in project-based learning, maker learning & community initiatives.

  • We work to increase positive outcomes in student and parent engagement and academic achievement, with their voices at the front and center.

  • We are inspired to nurture creativity and the love of learning through relevant, engaging maker projects and project-based learning that inspires real change.
